What happened.
Lendified disclosed facility defaults and restructuring efforts in 2020. After a recapitalization, subsidiaries received demand letters and enforcement notices in November 2022 for obligations they could not repay or refinance. Seized assets, largely loan portfolios, were sold in January 2023.
This is a default and enforcement case. It should not be labeled a CCAA restructuring. The disclosed asset-sale proceeds and remaining obligations illustrate the limits of relying on a portfolio’s nominal value when funding availability changes.
A non-deposit lender depends on both borrower collections and confidence from its own funders. Concentrated secured facilities can become a second source of pressure when operating conditions deteriorate.
From individual facts to a fuller picture.
- Facility defaults and enforcement notices were disclosed by the company.
- The company later reported secured-asset sale proceeds and remaining obligations.
- Which borrower cash flows are exposed to the same sector or operating shock?
- How do collections and portfolio eligibility affect facility availability and covenant headroom?
- Can funders inspect current vintages, deferrals, and recoveries with supporting evidence?
The review questions are analytical prompts. They do not establish that particular data was available to the institution at the time, or that a different process would have changed the outcome.
A different decision starts here.
Make borrower cash generation and collection timing visible before a funding decision depends on the pool’s expected receipts.
Authorized SMB financials, repayment schedules, loan-pool receipts, available liquidity, and lender-provided funding and borrowing-base requirements.
01 Rebuild the borrower cash picture
- Evidence to connect
- Business receipts, expenses, existing obligations, and actual loan payments.
- Amlok output
- A source-linked debt-service assessment with incomplete records and emerging cash pressure visible.
Decision it could supportPrioritize borrowers needing updated evidence or engagement before assuming scheduled payments will arrive.
02 Connect the pool to cash availability
- Evidence to connect
- Borrower cash cycles, payment timing, collections, and the institution’s pool-level obligations.
- Amlok output
- An evidence-backed view of expected collections and the assumptions behind them.
Decision it could supportReview the gap between borrower repayment timing and the institution’s funding commitments.
03 Test funding constraints explicitly
- Evidence to connect
- The current baseline under stated collection delays, funding availability, and borrowing-base assumptions.
- Amlok output
- Scenario comparisons that separate borrower performance from dependence on continued financing.
Decision it could supportUse the results to support earlier funding discussions, collection priorities, or adjustments to new exposure.
Put numbers behind the opportunity.
These scenarios apply Amlok’s supplied comparison rates to the review described above. They are projections, not measured results at Lendified. Count-based scenarios use an assumed population, not the institution’s actual records.
Debt-service coverage assessability
Assumed population: 1,000 eligible SMB borrower reviews.
More borrowers could be assessed against current cash generation and debt commitments.
Calculation & assumptions
Comparison inputs: 70% → ≈85%.
Population calculation: 1,000 × 70% = 700; 1,000 × 85% ≈ 850. Difference: ≈150 additional.
Relative change: (85 − 70) ÷ 70 × 100 ≈ +21.43%.
15 percentage points higher than the input baseline. Assumes the supplied assessability rates transfer to the selected SMB review population.
View the supplied comparison inputsWorking-capital cycle visibility
Assumed population: 1,000 eligible SMB cash-cycle assessments.
More reviews could connect the timing of business cash to expected loan collections.
Calculation & assumptions
Comparison inputs: 65% → ≈79%.
Population calculation: 1,000 × 65% = 650; 1,000 × 79% ≈ 790. Difference: ≈140 additional.
Relative change: (79 − 65) ÷ 65 × 100 ≈ +21.54%.
14 percentage points higher than the input baseline. Assumes comparable working-capital records. Better borrower visibility does not ensure the platform’s lender renews its funding.

Replay dated borrower and pool snapshots before funding decisions. Compare debt-service assessability and cash-cycle coverage, then test collection forecasts and funding assumptions separately.
The secured asset-sale proceeds and remaining indebtedness are historical facts, not a denominator for projected savings or a valuation of avoidable loss. The supplied comparison rates are approximate scenario inputs; no institution-specific replay or confidence interval is available for these estimates. The two metrics describe separate dimensions and should not be added together.

Gross sale proceeds, outstanding facility balances, and creditor recoveries are distinct measures. The public record does not establish that a different monitoring system would have preserved funding.
