Our mission
Map the financial ecosystem and turn its entities, transactions, and relationships into actionable risk intelligence.
Financial lives keep moving. We’re building the intelligence to understand the whole story, and how it changes over time.

Amlok is building risk intelligence infrastructure for lenders and financial institutions. We connect entities, transactions, and relationships so teams can understand borrowers in the context of the wider financial ecosystem.
A single application or statement captures a moment. Income changes, obligations evolve, and new relationships emerge. Our platform brings financial evidence and ongoing signals together across verification, underwriting, monitoring, and servicing.
We help teams see how risk moves, trace the evidence behind an assessment, and apply their own policies consistently. The institution stays in control of the customer relationship and every final decision.
Map the financial ecosystem and turn its entities, transactions, and relationships into actionable risk intelligence.
A financial ecosystem where understanding risk is never the bottleneck to deploying capital.
December 2022 – October 2026Follow the ideas and milestones that have shaped Amlok.
Amlok was federally incorporated under Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, establishing the foundation for developing alternative models of capital formation through blockchain technology and emerging financial infrastructure.
Amlok's original concept focused on real estate tokenization, exploring how blockchain technology could connect digital asset ownership and participation with real-world yield rewards.
Expanded beyond real estate into alternative financing for small and medium-sized businesses, exploring how tokenization, programmable financial instruments and new capital formation models could improve access to financing.
Amlok received a blockchain innovation grant supporting its work developing blockchain-enabled financial infrastructure and alternative capital formation solutions.
Advanced a model enabling businesses to access financing against future revenues rather than surrendering equity, incorporating smart contracts, tokenized revenue claims and community participation.
Developed early funding use cases combining community-backed financing, digital rewards and alternative capital formation, including the LingoPods/LingoAI concept.
Built infrastructure supporting fiat and cryptocurrency contributions, rewards-based campaigns, programmable funding milestones and community participation.
Amlok was selected among the Top 40 startups at Consensus 2025, receiving international industry recognition for its approach to financial innovation and alternative capital infrastructure.
Following its recognition at Consensus 2025, Amlok was proactively approached and selected for representation by Canada's Trade Commissioner Service (TCS), expanding its access to government-backed international trade networks and business development opportunities.
Shortly after its selection by the Trade Commissioner Service, Amlok engaged with OSC LaunchPad, the Ontario Securities Commission's innovation-support initiative, to explore regulatory considerations surrounding emerging financial technologies and alternative financing models.
Developed Amlok's Genesis self-funding campaign as an early demonstration of its crowdfunding infrastructure. By July 2025, the platform was live and ready for pilot activity, with early partners and campaign opportunities identified.
Explored additional crowdfunding applications, including Interac e-Transfer and USDC contributions, NFT ticketing, event funding and real-time campaign dashboards.
Refined Amlok's positioning around helping businesses convert customer loyalty, community support and future demand into working capital through rewards-based and non-dilutive financing models.
The platform's core proposition evolved around the principle of turning trust capital into working capital.
Advanced Amlok's rewards-based funding platform, with a longer-term roadmap incorporating revenue participation, asset-linked financing and institutional financial instruments.
Activated real-world crowdfunding campaigns with businesses and their communities, validating the platform's initial market application and generating feedback from early participants.
Completed Amlok's Genesis crowdfunding campaign and continued expanding business pilot activity and platform adoption.
Began shifting beyond facilitating access to capital toward addressing the underlying information gaps influencing financing eligibility, borrower assessment and capital allocation.
This introduced a new strategic direction focused on financial intelligence, business fundability and underwriting support.
Introduced new capabilities to evaluate business financial health, assess fundability and identify financing opportunities, while onboarding businesses and expanding funding and referral partnerships.
Reached key early ecosystem milestones:
These developments provided further insight into the opportunities and limitations of serving borrowers directly.
Amlok made a deliberate strategic decision to focus on financial institutions and enterprise clients rather than serving SMBs directly.
The team recognized that equipping institutions with better financial and risk intelligence would enable Amlok to support significantly more businesses and, eventually, a broader range of borrowers at scale, while simultaneously improving how institutions assess risk, allocate capital and manage ongoing lending relationships.
This marked the transition from a direct-to-business financing model toward AI-native infrastructure embedded within institutional workflows.
Rather than changing its underlying mission, Amlok identified a more scalable way to improve capital access and allocation while creating value for both lenders and borrowers.
Developed and launched the beta of Amlok's AI-native risk intelligence platform for financial institutions, incorporating:
Documented significant data and validation milestones:

Amlok was approved to join NVIDIA Inception, a program supporting startups developing innovative AI technologies.
The acceptance marked another milestone in Amlok's development as an AI-native financial infrastructure company, providing access to NVIDIA's startup ecosystem, technical resources and opportunities to accelerate AI product development.
Advanced participation in Canada's financial technology and innovation ecosystem, including A2E and AITA Labs, strengthening Amlok's advisory network, institutional positioning and commercialization strategy.
Expanded institutional business development, including credit-union demonstrations, lender-specific product positioning and commercial discussions with prospective financial-institution partners.
Engagement included Libro Credit Union and other Canadian lending institutions, with particular interest in borrower intelligence, counterparty mapping, underwriting support and continuous portfolio monitoring.

Discussions advanced toward potential commercial agreements and institutional deployments.
Opened a fundraising round to support institutional commercialization, enterprise integrations, continued product development and expansion across the Canadian financial sector.
Amlok received its first investment check from LvlUp Ventures, marking a significant milestone in the company's fundraising journey and securing its first external investment backing.
This investment provided initial financial support for Amlok's next phase of institutional commercialization, product development and growth.
Amlok signed its first customer, marking the company's transition from product development and institutional validation into initial commercial traction.
With several additional prospective customers in the pipeline, this milestone demonstrated growing market interest in Amlok's AI-native risk intelligence infrastructure and established an important foundation for broader institutional adoption.
Selected to participate in AltaLab's Fall 2026 cohort, expanding Amlok's access to mentorship, strategic networks and commercialization support.
Strengthened Amlok's presence within the Canadian lending ecosystem through industry events, institutional relationship-building and participation in the Momentum Credit Union Conference in Montréal, where CEO Abdallah Kanaan was scheduled to speak on a panel.
A point-in-time decision does not need to become a blind spot for the life of the deal.
